Yesterday was Anchor Induction Day!

A few weeks ago I blogged about my Induction Day last year (you can see that post here) and we inducted the new members yesterday. All of the girls that are already in the club get in groups and go get two "newbies". These were our girls after we dressed them up! :)

Teachers kept asking me if I was responsible for doing that to them and I said "Yes, of course!" It was so much fun and we have a great group of girls coming into the club!

I only got about 3 hours of sleep that night..so I'm still catching up!

First Times and Baking!

Today was one of those cold rainy days..

You know the ones where you sit inside all day in pajamas because it just looks miserable outside and you want to get out sooo bad?

So we decided to go out and grab something quick for supper. Well, Daddy always wants to go to Captain D's, and honestly, the thought of fast food seafood has always kind of grossed me out..

But we decided to go there anyways. It was my first time and it was actually really good! I was surprised!

They have the BEST french fries I think I've ever had!

When we got home, we made Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies!

I haven't had them in forever and they are some of my favorites!

Here's the recipe:

2 cups of sugar

4 T. cocoa

1/2 cup milk

1 stick butter

In medium saucepan, let ingredients above come to rolling boil for 1 minute. Stir constantly. Remove from heat.

ADD:

1/2 cup peanut butter

3 cups cooking oatmeal

1 tsp. vanilla

Stir well until completely blended. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Let stand until cool and firm.

I used the wrong kind of chocolate so mine turned out really dark..but they still tasted good!

They are really good warm with ice cream!!

Facebook Break

I'm taking a break from facebook!

Just for this week..

I didn't officially deactivate it but I haven't gotten on it this week and it is so less stressful!

I just don't feel like reading about other people's drama and everything else that they feel like I need to know.

I'd much rather read twitter or yall's blogs!

 I normally am on facebook all the time..like I first thing I did when I woke up was get on facebook and while I get ready for school in the morning I would read it on my ipod.

And after school I'd come home and would sometimes sit there for an hour just looking at people's pictures or reading stuff on their profiles..

Now that I think about it, it's kind of ridiculous how much time I spent on facebook!

Has anyone else gone facebook free?

Crazyyy Week!

Hey Yall! 

Sorry for my lack of posting lately! Last week and this week are CRAZY for me!

We had midterms last week..my time was taken over by studying. And I have to say, for those of you who understand Shakespeare, I wish I was like you! I made flashcards with the quotes my teacher gave us and knew them ALL and STILL managed to fail..I just don't get it!

This week we have cheerleading tryouts so I have loooootts of practices to get me ready..plus 3 days of tryouts!

I should be back to blogging next week though!

Anchor Club + Giveaway

Anchor Induction day is a big thing at our school.

If you get accepted into Anchor Club, girls who are already in it come and surprise you at your house one morning before school..they wake you up and dress you all crazy for school and then everyone meets at McDonald's before school. It's so much fun! It was probably the funnest day of school my freshman year! Here's some pictures of me on my induction day:

Dream Vacations!

Yesterday we were talking about vacations..

So I started thinking of where I would go if I could go anywhere in the world!

I made a list of places I would want to go all of the world, in the United States, and places I've been that I would go back to in a heartbeat.

Here's my list:

Istanbul, Turkey.

I thought it was SO pretty when they went there on the Bachelorette.

Costa Rica.

One of my best friends went on an all inclusive trip to Costa Rica a few summers ago and her pictures were gorgeous! They went on a zip line through the rainforest..how cool is that?

Europe: Venice and Switzerland.

I've always wanted to go to both of these places..I think they're gorgeous!

In the United States I want to go to..

Yellowstone, Wyoming.

NYC.

Alaska.

I would love to go on an Alaskan Cruise!

And two places I've been that I would love to go back to..

New Orleans

San Fransisco

I loved San Fransisco!
